Our Method
How every entry is built, what we refuse to invent, and why official listing pages remain the final authority.
The categories every entry is read through: arrival, rooms, dining, public space, surroundings
Each property on Velvet Stay is described through the same five lenses: arrival, rooms, dining, public space and surroundings. The sequence is fixed so a reader can move between entries without learning a new frame each time.
Arrival covers how the property presents itself at the threshold — city door, resort approach or waterfront edge. Rooms describe overnight accommodation in general terms drawn only from the supplied category and setting. Dining is treated as hospitality context, not a restaurant directory.
Public space covers lobbies, gaming floors and shared resort areas when those belong to the property’s character. Surroundings close the loop: downtown streets, countryside, mountain ridges or river corridors that define what sits beyond the door.
We do not invent amenities that are absent from the source facts. If a spa, pool or gym is not implied by a setting tag, it does not appear in the copy.
Why the entries carry no prices, no availability and no star-ranking of our own
Inventories open and close. A commercial figure published here would be wrong within hours and would push the guide into transactional territory it does not occupy.
Velvet Stay therefore prints no currency symbols, no lead-in offers and no promises of a complimentary room. Availability lives with the provider. We describe the place; they hold the calendar.
Star classes shown on cards are the published classes supplied with each property. They are not a ranking we create, and we do not reorder the catalogue by score.
That restraint keeps the guide comparable. Two entries can be read side by side on structure alone, without a persuasive overlay of promotions or urgency.
Where the photography comes from and what it does and does not show
Each catalogue card carries a single photograph tied to that property. The image illustrates exterior or site character at a particular moment. It is not a tour of every floor and it is not a guarantee of any specific room’s layout.
We do not stage alternate angles as decorative fillers. If an inventory photograph is not assigned to a layout, it stays unused. Empty image-shaped blocks are not part of this design.
Editorial and legal pages carry no property photography at all. Those pages are type, spacing and rules. The catalogues are where venue images belong.
Alt text names the property and place. It never includes a commercial figure or a review score.
How to use the listing links, and why the official listing page is always the authority
Every venue card ends with one outbound control: Visit Official Website. That link opens the exact listing URL supplied for the property. No other page on this site repeats that URL.
Follow the link when you need room types, house policies, dining menus or anything that changes day to day. The listing platform and the property operator own that information.
Velvet Stay does not proxy availability checks and does not embed widgets that pretend to search inventory. The hand-off is explicit: read here, confirm there.
If a detail on our page and a detail on the official listing disagree, trust the listing. Our role is structural overview, not live inventory.
